Economy

Colonia's economy is primarily based on trading, using the Poko as its currency. Many stores exist throughout Colonia where materials and items can be bought or sold with pokos.

Another economic system is communal, where materials and items are donated and taken without payment but the materials must be used in that community or within 200 blocks of that community.

There are also community chests in nearly every community, many of which are nearby or under railway stations. All items in these chests are free to take but players should only take small quantities of needed items. They are also asked to donate any items they have in abundance or don't need.

Colonia Depot

One large store is the Colonia Depot (still using emeralds), with its flagship store located in Sentinel Hill and several smaller branches in other cities and towns around Colonia. All trading is conducted using the honor system which assumes all players will actually deposit or withdraw the correct amount of emeralds at the payment chests in each store. Since all players must be whitelisted and a verification system is in place to review transactions, theft and dishonesty rarely occur. Villagers all across Colonia also buy or sell items using emeralds as currency.
