Interstate 27 (known as the Sunrise Expressway from Suffolk Village to Vanderbilt City) is an Interstate route currently in progress that begins south of Vanderbilt City at the Vanderbilt Thruway (Interstate 127) and ends at the southern terminus of Vanderbilt State Route 27 in Suffolk Village, where the right-of-way and exit numbers continue on. Currently, exit numbers on this highway number from 33 until 37A. The highway traverses the Baldwin Tunnel, which runs under South New Nassau and West New Nassau, and the Major Thomas Jones Memorial Bridge, which connects the latter to Suffolk Village and, by extension, New Nassau.
