Interstate 127
Interstate 127, also known as the Vanderbilt Thruway, is a spur route of Interstate 27 that is currently in progress that is meant to serve the city of Vanderbilt. It begins at a partial cloverleaf interchange with Interstate 27 at exit 33, where the route quickly descends underground into the Vanderbilt Tunnel. The tunnel is yet to be completed, however exit numbers have already been planned.
The entirety of the Vanderbilt Thruway is limited to passenger vehicles due to low clearance in the tunnel. Commercial vehicles are not permitted and must use alternate routes, like Colonia Route 31W.
Currently, the highway is co-designated as Vanderbilt State Route 127 as construction is still underway, however it is unsigned on the northbound lanes.
