The Sansee Desert is one of the largest deserts so far discovered in Colonia. It is located approximately 3,500 blocks south-southwest of the Sentinel Hill Metro Area. It was originally discovered by Leven who claimed ownership of the entire desert and all villages it contained. Leven created several new communities in the western area of the desert and upgraded an existing village now known as Kereen.

Around this time, the Windsor Line was being extended southwest of Norchester and arrived at an undeveloped village that became Cairo Village - now known as the city of Cairo. There was a dispute between Leven and CrownPrince over ownership of Cairo and further expansion into the Sansee Desert. A compromise was reached that the Windsor Line would terminate at Cairo and not extend any further and CrownPrince would retain ownership of Cairo. With Cairo now being a "dead end" community, growth was stifled and it remained a small town for a good period of time.

To further support his ownership claim of all of the Sansee Desert, Leven chose to build at Belvedere Village in the southeastern corner of the desert. The Central Line was also being extended west from Atlantis and Leven agreed to let this railway extend underground to Belvedere Village.

Not Long afterward, a new colonist named ThomasBeck31 arrived in the area and spotted coastal land to the west of Belvedere Village where he decided to put down roots and create the community of New Nassau. This community suddenly became a boom town and nearly all players decided to build a home in New Nassau. CrownPrince was among the new arrivals and was given permission to upgrade Suffolk Village, just to the west of New Nassau.

Leven had not been present during all this growth and, after a period of absence, returned to find massive growth in his desert and more new neighbors than he could imagine. It took some time but he gradually accepted his new neighbors and allowed the western end of the Sansee Desert to be open to development. This allowed the extension of both the Central Line and Windsor Line to extend further into the desert where they now intersect at Vanderbilt City. It also led to a new underground railway, the Dover Line, to connect Cairo to Belvedere Village.

Fearing that Belvedere Village would soon be surrounded by New Nassau, he began a massive expansion of the village, adding dozens of buildings. Belvedere Village now wraps around the northern ends of New Nassau and Suffolk Village and in some areas the border is unclear as many of New Nassau and Belvedere Village buildings are integrated and surround each other.

In a similar fashion, ThomasBeck31 was away from the Sansee Desert for a period of time. When he returned, he was also surprised to see all the new growth that had occurred while he had been gone. It is believed that the development of Vanderbilt City will be a new focus for ThomasBeck31.

The Sansee Desert remains a vast isolated desert to the west of these communities and it is expected that further development will head in that direction.
